This is a short prayer that was made, in Church, on September 11, 2016.

Let us pray.

Thank you for this time that we have to worship together with Christian brethren.

We thank you for the opportunity to remember at this time of year..

To remember sacrifice…

The sacrifice of those men and women who gave so much, even their lives, to protect and to serve each of us…and they continue to do so today..

And, as Christians, especially help us to remember the sacrifice of Jesus, who died for us as the only sufficient payment for our sins.

- this sacrifice was the ultimate demonstration of your love for us.. A love that we don’t deserve..

- we thank you that, after your sacrifice you didn’t leave us alone.. You sent the helper, the holy spirit.. To work with us, and through us… Transforming us and our lives…

- we thank you for your word… For scripture… To enable us to read, learn and grow in your word, your guidance and instructions for Christian living…

As we leave here, today, we thank you for counting us as amongst your people.

Help us to remember your words and take comfort from when you said:

“What is impossible with man, is possible with God.”

Luke 18: 27

Lord. We ask for the strength to meet life’s challenges, the will to continue on through, and the faith to pray and seek your guidance in all that we do.. most of all we thank you for all your daily blessings and ask for your wisdom, so that we may know and do your will day by day, throughout the coming week ahead..

In Jesus name we pray.

Amen.
