Lord,

Let us be guided by your word, as we pray ahead of the week before us.

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you.

Ephesians 1: 18

Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you

Psalm 9:10

We thank you for this Church

and for this time together at the start of each week

Thank you for the raising up that we enjoy, together

May it strengthen us, and strengthen the church to do your work and be your people every day

Thanks to all who have ministered to us today… including those who are teaching and guiding the children, now.. we thank you that they have brought your word to us, and ask for your guidance in its understanding and application…

I pray for understanding and acceptance within our church

Most of all I pray for wisdom

As we leave today, we ask for your strength, your confidence and your humility to shine as Christians in our daily lives this week. We ask for your words to speak through us when we are asked for the reason for our hope.

As we leave here now, to be in the world this week,

please guide us

and strengthen us

Lay your comforting hand on our shoulder when we need it… let us know you are with us through the good times and the bad

We pray for this church, our communities, our city, state and nation.

We need your guidance now, more than ever before.

Please guide all of our leaders to your word, and to join us as Christians, in the faith, acting from a position of Christian understanding and wisdom.

We ask this in Jesus name.

Amen.
